Architecture

I support church architecture that supports a fuller ritual celebration of liturgy through my research, publishing, presentations and consultation on church renovation or construction.

My doctoral thesis on the history and models of the presidential chair has provided me with an historical and synthetic understanding of church architecture. I have begun to consult in the builiding and renovation of churches as well as to publish in the field of liturgical architecture. My greatest influence is Mgr Crispino Valenziano whose works are yet to be translated into English.

A listing of my publications on ritual architecture is found here.

Architecture of an ambo

A distinctive component of my work is the recovery of the ambo, based on the research of Crispino Valenziano as yet avaialble only in Italian. The difference between an ambo and a lectern is given on this page, and one example os given on this page.
